Public Information Campaigns

This StoryMap provides an introduction to Public Information Campaigns (PICs) used for border enforcement. It uses imagery, maps, and graphics to effectively convey the story. It was created for PhD Researchers Dr. Jill Williams (University of Arizona) and Dr. Kate Coddington (University of Albany) based on their work.

City of Phoenix Dashboard

In partnership with Dynamic Visions GIS and Applied Economics LLC, we created a dashboard to query and display growth projections data developed by Applied Economics. The tool is designed for use by City staff to view and query growth projections and land use assumptions.

Pelican Cycling Adventures

In partnership with Dynamic Visions GIS, designed a ride map for Pelican Cycling Adventures. The work included building a geodatabase of routes and points of interest for 7 bicycle routes, designing the map layout, and cartography for each map. The map incorporates the company color scheme to aid in brand recognition and is designed to fit on 11x17 size paper (double sided) for quick reference.

AVCOG StoryMap

A Bright Future for Androscoggin Valley

In partnership with A/R360 Consultants, provided socioeconomic research, data analysis, and data visualization for the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments (AVCOG) in Maine. Our final deliverable included the development of a StoryMap to highlight their Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

Wetlands, Waterbirds, and Water

This award-winning StoryMap tells the complicated story of the Upper Klamath Basin through the lens of waterbirds. Once an area of vast wetlands, current extreme drought conditions coupled with more than a century of human-led landscape modification have reduced the Klamath wetlands to less than 20 percent of what they once were.

In partnership with A/R360 Consultants, provided socioeconomic research, data analysis, mapping, and data visualization for the Forsyth County, North Carolina Digital Equity Plan.

Oregon Coordinate Reference System

The Oregon Coordinate Reference System (OCRS) is based on a group of low distortion map projection coordinate systems. Working with the Oregon Department of Transportation and stakeholders across the state, we developed the low distortion map projections for the OCRS.

Rocky Mountain Coordinate Reference System

The Rocky Mountain Coordinate Reference System (RMCRS) is an update to the Rocky Mountain Tribal Coordinate System (RMTCRS). In partnership with Northern Engineering & Consulting, Inc (NECI), we collaborated with tribal, state, regional, and local partners to develop the original RMTCRS and this updated version of low distortion map projections for areas across Montana and Wyoming.

The Forsyth County Regional Profile infographic was developed as a data demographic summary for the Forsyth County, North Carolina Digital Equity Plan.

In partnership with Arth Analytics, we provided data collection, QA/QC, and graphic design services for the Bipartisan Policy Center's Child Care Gaps Assessment project.

Elder Abuse Awareness

This one page infographic flyer was developed for the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments to help bring awareness and prevent elder abuse.

Desert Invader

This StoryMap uses photographs, maps, and a story to bring awareness of the invasive Sahara Mustard plant in North America.
